The rules

  • I. Mutual only- While I do not care who follows my blog, please understand that I will only interact in character with my mutuals who are over the age of 18. This is for my own comfort. I'm not very selective anyways. If we are mutuals, just know that I do want to interact with you! It might take me awhile to figure out how to get the ball rolling but just now I have every intention of interacting with your muse(s). Also personals, I'm cool with you liking posts but don't reblog anything. At all. Please <3

  • II. Minimum Nsfw- This is obviously just on my end, but it's very unlikely that there will be anything Nsfw on my blog. Suggestive? Probably. Anything further than that will happen on discord (which can be found under the about mun section). Note- I will only write smut with people who I'm comfortable with IC and OOC on discord.

  • III. Shipping- Multiship friendly! I have a few ongoing ships with you may see often, but I am very open to discussing all type of relationships (romantic, platonic, familial, etc). Truthfully, I like to develop platonic ships more than anything. I would prefer to discuss romantic ships ooc, but besides that it's really just up to chemistry.

  • IV. Unfollowing- I usually only unfollow blogs that have been inactive for over a year, but I do unfollow people freely and encourage the same. If for any reason you feely the need to block me, just go for it. I'd prefer if you softblock me but warning... my memory is trash. If I refollow you after you softblock me just give me a few days to get the message and unfollow again.

  • V. Posts- Friends, I don't use icons or headers or anything fancy (for now). Not my style at the moment. I'm mobile about 85% of the time, but I do trim my replies before they are posted.

  • VI. Tagging Triggers- I tag things like that as "//word" for convenience. Please tag "Body Horror" and "Gore" for me. I can not thank you enough for this <3

  • VII. Outside Fandoms- Though I am very familiar with many medias, I do rarely RP with characters outside of the fandom. Sorry, it just confuses me most of the time. If said character has a Genshin Verse, then by all means send them my way. OCs are also fine, I think OCs are awesome! If you have an OC or have an NPC muse, I unironically look up to you. I'm in the process of making an HSR Verse for her so stay tuned for that.

  • VIII. Do not interact if you are racist, homophobic, sexist, transphobic, etc. I will not stand for this at all. Do me a favor and just block me now <3

Yanfei is a young woman with a pale complexion and bright teal-green eyes with ovoid pupils. She has salmon pink hair flowing past her shoulders, fading to a pale peach at the tips. The hair around the sides of her head is chopped short at ear length in a fringe, revealing a pair of cream colored antlers,[3] indicating her adeptal heritage. In addition to this, the sides of her chest, ankles, and the backs of her hands have white diamond-shaped markings that resemble scales.Her outfit consists of a dark red and black backless cropped top accented with gold, a white scarf-like wrapped collar accented with dark red, and a pair of detached, long, puffed white sleeves with black cuffs, a large white pom-pom attached to each. She wears a large, dark red xiezhi hat accented with black and gold. Her collar and hat are both adorned with gold tongbao-shaped buttons. As well as this, she wears a short dark red skirt lined with gold swirls akin to clouds, fastened with a yellow ribbon tied in a bow on her left hip over a pair of uneven black shorts with lace trim. Her footwear consists of a pair of red and gold upturned-toed boots with white fluffy lining and gold heels and soles.She carries a thick book, fastened by two leather belts on her right hip, where her vision affixes. She also carries a large steelyard decorated with adeptus elements. Her outfit, Golden Rule, is described as a dress that Yanfei wears when she heads out to visit clients.

History

She is the child of an adeptus father and human mother. After she grew up, her parents left to go on an adventure, placing her in the care of Madame Ping. She resides in Liyue, serving as a legal advisor for its people.Liyue is a port that prizes contracts and trade, and it is a place where wealth accumulates. Merchants from various nations are active here, which has contributed to Liyue's abundance, but has also brought up many disagreements. The Tianquan, Ningguang, has written a very comprehensive compendium of laws to deal with this, but not everyone has the patience to study them.Thus was born the role of the legal adviser in Liyue society. Highly familiar with Liyue's laws, they help those in need to navigate any contradictions, earning recompense for their efforts.Yanfei is the premier legal adviser in Liyue Harbor.She is always able to obtain the most benefits for her clients, insofar as the law will allow. Some even call her "the law that walks."But in truth, what Yanfei — one of the few half-illuminated-beasts who have yet to sign a contract with Rex Lapis — really wants to do is live a free and happy life.As for the copy of "The General Law of Liyue" that she carries around on her person, Yanfei has this to say:"If you don't wish to be bound by the rules, you have to first understand them all."

Non-canon Headcanons

(Most of these are portrayal specific which might throw me under the "canon divergent". These are mainly to help my own understanding of the character and fill in any blank spots in her story. You can read more about each one under my Headcanon tag which is on my front page)

  • Can not bring herself to kill; from an insect to a human. (She fights to immobilize her opponents)

  • While her healing is accelerated by her illuminated beast blood, it’s not nearly as efficient.

  • Yanfei is NOT a deer, she is a Xiezhi. (While she will laugh off most deer jokes, she won't take it so lightly if she is constantly having to correct your muse. It's a fair warning.)

  • Despite what her in-game model suggests, her scales are in pretty dense clusters on the back of her hands, her sides, her ankles, and her hips

  • Yanfei has spent years and years learning the piano though lacks time now to play.

  • Yanfei sheds her antlers once a year (see this post for info)

  • Yanfei is fluent in sign language (see this post for info)

  • She was raised in the village outside of Luhua Pool. Although she lives in by the harbor now, she still owns her childhood home.

  • Her fathers name is Yanhuang (ty @vishapsking) and her mothers name is(was) Xinyi
